493 Hackney Road

We decided to set up shop.

While markets, cafes and restaurants come and go, the high street itself appeared to be an immutable institution until the rise of online shopping and same day deliveries has made it less varied and vital.

‍

A few months ago, we signed a long lease on a space on 493 Hackney Road that was at one time London’s oldest ironmongers and after that the wonderful Conservatory Archives. After three years on the second floor of a shared workspace building, the objective was to be a part of the life of the street, to contribute and benefit from it in equal measure.

We look forward to welcoming our friends, colleagues, and clients (and passersby) and soon hosting collaborations with people we admire and who could use a big, busy shopfront.
