In 2021 he graduated from the MArch programme Canterbury School of Architecture, UCA with distinction with a thesis focusing on pre-fabrication and its role in rebuilding Beirut.
Janine studied for her BA at Nottingham and graduated in 2020 from the Canterbury School of Architecture, UCA with disctinction, and was the school’s nominee for the RIBA Silver Medal for her thesis focusing on the urban development of Georgetown, Guyana. Before Janine joined A IS FOR __ she was an Architectural Designer at ACME working on the Folkestone Seafront.
Jack is Associate Director of A IS FOR __. He graduated from the Mackintosh School of Architecture in 2015. Between 2015 and 2021, he worked at ACME, most notably on the ‘REWE Green Building’ - a supermarket and aquaponic urban farm in Germany, a timber structure office building in London and more recently on the Folkestone Masterplan. Before working at ACME Jack worked for Sauerbruch Hutton Architects in Berlin. Jack is a sessional tutor at Canterbury School of Architecture, UCA, and he is an ambassador for the Architects Benevolent Society.
Duarte is the Director of A IS FOR __ . He graduated from the Porto University School of Architecture and has an MA in Architectural History from the Bartlett, UCL. He interned with Aires Mateus in Lisbon and from 2007 worked with Herzog & de Meuron in Basel. From 2013 he was at ACME in London where he was in charge of several award-wining projects, most notably the stair at One New Change, the Marsa Plaza, in Muscat, Oman and the Folkestone Seafront Masterplan. Since 2019 he runs a MArch Studio at the Canterbury School of Architecture, UCA.
Anna has a first class BA(Hons) in Architecture from the University of Kent and graduated in 2021 from the Canterbury School of Architecture, UCA with distinction winning the prize for academic excellence two years in a row and getting nominated for the AJ Student Prize for her thesis titled “Collective Intent” exploring the repurposing of derelict military land to re-assess and re-define the commune architype. Narges gained her BSc in Architectural Engineering from the Islamic Azad University of Tehran in 2018 and holds a Master of Architectural Design from the University of Sheffield.
